Addison & Luke | Eau Claire Wisconsin Wedding on Private Property at Autumnwood Farm
There are some wedding days that feel less like a formal event and more like a gathering of the people who matter most. Addison and Luke’s Eau Claire WI wedding was exactly that. A beautiful September celebration surrounded by family, close friends, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to see how much these two are loved.
Addison and Luke’s wedding took place on September 20, 2025, beginning with a ceremony at their church before everyone made their way to Autumnwood Farm, Addison’s family property. With rolling views, a horse pasture, and a gorgeous tented reception, the setting gave them the perfect backdrop for a wedding that felt elegant without ever feeling overly formal. And while the day looked effortless, there were plenty of moving pieces happening behind the scenes.
A Wedding Day That Felt Like Addison & Luke
Addison and Luke met online and quickly found a connection built on kindness, thoughtfulness, and shared joy. Together, they have a beautiful daughter, who was an important part of their wedding day. Their relationship has a fun-loving, social side, but there is also a groundedness to the two of them. They are the kind of couple who genuinely enjoy being around the people they love, which made their family farm reception feel like a natural extension of who they are.
In April 2023, while Addison thought she was helping Luke with his truck, Luke surprised her and she realized she was holding an engagement ring.
Their wedding day carried that same sense of surprise, laughter, and not taking themselves too seriously.
From Church Ceremony to a Tented Reception
The couple chose to get married at their church before heading to Autumnwood Farm for the reception. The farm was especially meaningful because it belongs to Addison’s family, giving the celebration a personal connection that a traditional wedding venue simply couldn't replicate.
Guests arrived at a property filled with beautiful views and open pasture, with the horses adding another unmistakable piece of the farm setting.
A large reception tent created the space for dinner, dancing, speeches, and celebrating late into the evening.
Rain was in the forecast for the entire day, but somehow, it held off through almost the entire reception. The weather stayed warm and comfortable, and the rain waited until the very end of the night to finally make an appearance.
Deep Purple, Pearls & Candlelight
The wedding design struck a balance between semi-formal elegance and the relaxed atmosphere of a family farm.
Deep purple was the primary color throughout the day, paired with pearls and the warm glow of candlelight. The bridesmaids' deep purple dresses added a rich, classic element to the overall design, while the candles softened the space and kept the tent feeling warm and inviting.
The details worked with the property rather than competing with it. The natural landscape, horse pasture, tent, candlelight, and elegant details all came together to create a wedding that felt refined while still being completely at home on the family farm.
Family Was at the Center of the Day
One of the best parts of Addison and Luke's wedding was how much of the day involved their families.
Addison gifted her bouquet to her mom, while both her mom and brother participated in the ceremony by reading meaningful passages. Luke's brother also played a pretty significant role as he prepared dinner for the guests of wedding. That meant dinner service came with its own set of logistics to work around, especially since the person responsible for preparing the meal was also part of the wedding party and needed to actually experience the celebration.
Traditional dances and speeches gave even more family and friends the opportunity to be part of the evening.
And, of course, Addison and Luke's daughter was there to share in the day with them.
The result was a wedding that wasn't just about the couple. It was about the people who helped make them who they are.
Bringing the Wedding Plans Together
By the time Addison and Luke hired me, they had a lot of pieces to coordinate and they were feeling pretty overwhelmed.
That's where my role really became important.
I stepped in to help bring all of the details together, worked through vendor logistics, created their wedding day timeline, and helped arrange how everything would function on the family property. As this wasn't a traditional venue with a built-in logistical details, there were more moving pieces to consider. The property itself needed to be arranged for the reception, vendors needed clear information, and the dinner logistics had to work around Luke's brother preparing the meal.
My job was to take those details off Addison and Luke's plate so they could focus on the remainder of their engagement and on getting married.
And then, because apparently there wasn't enough happening already, two of their vendors backed out close to the wedding.
When Vendors Back Out, You Need Someone Who Knows What to Do
The contracted DJ and Videographer backed out just two weeks before the wedding. And while that's the kind of phone call no couple wants to get when their wedding is right around the corner, they had hired a coordinator who had a list of trusted vendor connections and was able to help secure a new service providers for their wedding.
The DJ specifically ended up being a fantastic fit and kept the dance floor packed throughout the night.
This is one of the biggest reasons I believe having a coordinator is about more than simply keeping a timeline on schedule. Weddings involve a lot of vendors, contracts, logistics, and moving parts. Sometimes everything goes exactly according to plan. And sometimes a vendor calls you two weeks before the wedding and tells you they aren't coming.
When that happens, you want someone who already has relationships in the industry, knows who to call, and can start solving the problem instead of handing it back to you.
Keeping the Wedding Day Moving
On the wedding day itself, I was there to manage the details and keep Addison and Luke from having to think about what came next. I helped with bridal attire, including bustling Addison's dress when the bustle wouldn't hold. I cued the wedding party for the ceremony and reception, helped coordinate speeches and toasts, and worked through the transitions throughout the day. I also stayed connected with the vendors so Addison and Luke didn't have to answer questions while they were trying to get married.
The goal wasn't for the couple to notice everything I was doing. In fact, the opposite. The goal was for them to be able to look around and be present.
The Point Wasn't a Perfect Wedding. It Was a Present Couple.
There is a line from Addison that pretty much sums up exactly what I want my couples to experience:
“You became such a special person to me during this time and made everything so easy and made it so I can have a stress free day and be fully present.”
That is exactly why I do what I do. I do this because you shouldn't have to spend your wedding day managing it.
Addison and Luke had already put so much thought into creating a meaningful celebration. They deserved to actually experience it. They deserved to laugh with their friends, spend time with their daughter, dance with their families, eat dinner, listen to the speeches, and soak in the fact that they were finally married.
Instead of worrying about whether the DJ had arrived, whether dinner was ready, whether the wedding party knew where to go, or whether the timeline was falling behind, they had someone else handling those things. And that's what made the day feel so relaxed.
A Beautiful September Wedding at Autumnwood Farm
By the end of the night, Addison and Luke's wedding was exactly what it was supposed to be: a celebration surrounded by the people they love, in a place that meant something to their family. And Addison and Luke got to be present for it.
That is the part of wedding coordination I love most.
Behind every beautiful wedding photo is a long list of things that had to happen correctly and sometimes a few things that absolutely did not go according to plan. My job is to handle those details, solve the problems, and give my couples the space to actually enjoy the day they spent so much time planning.
For Addison and Luke, that meant taking a beautiful family property and turning it into a wedding celebration that felt completely like them.
Relaxed. Personal. Elegant. A little unpredictable. And completely surrounded by love.
