Located at The Bog golf course, the venue features a spacious barn with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a grand staircase leading to the loft, a private bridal suite, covered patio, fire pit, and exterior deck overlooking the surrounding landscape.

This is where I would start thinking about guest movement. A barn venue can have multiple areas that serve different purposes throughout the day. That sounds beautiful (and it is) but those transitions don’t happen by themselves.

Located in Mequon, the private country club sits on 338 acres of southeastern Wisconsin scenery and offers a 9,200-square-foot Grand Ballroom with large windows overlooking the golf course. The property also features an outdoor patio, covered ceremony options, a bridal dressing room, and outdoor photo locations.
River Club is especially appealing for couples who want a larger wedding with a polished country-club atmosphere. The venue provides a variety of amenities and services for weddings, allowing couples to create an elegant celebration while taking advantage of the surrounding property.
A Coordinator’s Perspective
One of the things I would pay close attention to here is the relationship between the indoor and outdoor spaces. If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony followed by cocktails and an indoor reception, the timeline needs to account for every transition. Your guests need to know where they’re going next, your vendors need to know when they can access the space, and your photographer needs enough time for portraits without pushing dinner back.

Located in Germantown, The Florian offers an upscale event environment with indoor and outdoor ceremony options, gardens, water features, and a dedicated event team.
The venue’s wedding offerings includes venue management, professional service staff, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware and china. Couples can also customize their wedding package with hors d’oeuvres, dinners, desserts, late-night snacks, and beverages. For couples looking for a more polished and traditional wedding atmosphere, The Florian offers an environment where many of the major reception details can be handled in one place.
A Coordinator’s Perspective
The Florian is a great example of why I don’t believe a couple should automatically think, “The venue has a coordinator, so we’re covered.”
You’re covered for the venue, but your photographer still needs a timeline, your DJ still needs to know when introductions are happening, your wedding party still needs to know where they’re supposed to be, your family still needs to show up for photos and your personal décor still needs to get where it belongs.
The venue’s event coordinator is an important part of making the property work, but I can work alongside them to make sure the wedding-specific pieces don’t get lost in the bigger picture. Think of it this way: your venue coordinator is responsible for the venue. We’re responsible for helping you execute the wedding you’ve been planning.
Shully’s Cuisine & Events | Thiensville, WI

Based in Thiensville, Shully’s offers multiple event spaces as well as off-premise catering throughout Wisconsin, giving couples flexibility when choosing both their venue and catering experience.
The Watermark is Shully’s larger banquet space, offering 6,250 square feet and accommodating larger celebrations, while The Thien Room and A.T.S. provide smaller options for more intimate gatherings. For couples who already have a venue in mind, Shully’s off-premise catering also opens up additional possibilities if you love the food and service but aren’t looking to host your wedding at one of their primary event spaces.
